Community Futures and Second Harvest are working together to shine a light on food waste.
On November 19th, they will be hosting a food waste reduction workshop and Rose Barcarse of Second Harvest says food waste is a far-reaching issue.
Since Second Harvest’s inception in 1985, Barcarse says it’s rescued over 177 million pounds of food from landfills, which would have gone on to create 75 million pounds of green house gas equivalents.
The online workshop runs from 11am to noon.
