It was a heartwarming tribute to our veterans today at the Renfrew Cenotaph. Vice President of the Renfrew Legion Bruce Ferguson says it was amazing to see so many people pay their respects.
He says for him personally, Remembrance Day is a special occasion.
Dozens of local residents came together and took time to remember at 11 o’clock this morning, something we couldn’t do as a community last year due to COVID-19. Ferguson says there’s still time to grab a poppy, since the legion will begin collecting donation boxes on Friday (Nov. 12).
