Efforts to popularize McNab-Braeside’s Clay Bank Park as more than a boat launch got a serious boost with the inaugural Fall NatureFest on September 26th.
The event showcased the brand-new community garden at the facility on White Lake Road, as well as the efforts made to turn Clay Bank into an agricultural/nature demonstration park.
Township Mayor Tom Peckett says tree experts recently gathered at the park to plan what species would prosper on the former farm site.
The improvements planned for the site are being guided by Township Councillor Heather Lang.
