The Renfrew Legion’s poppy campaign is running successfully, according to vice president, Bruce Ferguson.
Ferguson says there’s still time to grab a poppy, since the legion will begin collecting donation boxes on Friday (Nov. 12).
As for the cenotaph ceremony on Remembrance Day, Ferguson says it’ll be a regular ceremony, however there’s won’t be a PA system, which may make it difficult to hear the speakers.
And if you can’t make it to the cenotaph, Ferguson urges people to give fallen veterans a minute of silence at 11 o’clock that day.
