New tennis courts and a new user pay structure are in order for the Town of Renfrew.
After a lot of back and forth, town council decided the town will assume all responsibility for courts from the Renfrew Tennis Club.
Additionally, adult payers will have to pay an annual user fee of $70 or an $8 hourly rate.
Councillor Tom Sidney believes the decision will even out the playing field.
As the existing courts are encroaching onto the Ma-te-way expansion, council decided to demolish them and build six new courts, which will be ready next spring.
