The number of homes sold last month (September 2021) was down 5.7% from the record setting September in 2020.
The Renfrew County Real Estate Board says the average price of homes sold in September 2021 was $410,413, a gain of 25.5% from September of 2020.
The more comprehensive year-to-date average price was $398,313, up sharply by 31.3% from the first nine months of 2020.
The number of new listings saw a reduction of 19.5% from September 2020.
This was the lowest number of new listings added in the month of September in more than a decade.
Active listings haven’t been this low in the month of September in more than 15 years.
Active listings were 73.2% below the 10-year average for the month of September.
At the current rate of sales activity it would take just over one month to sell current inventories.
