The County of Renfrew has received a request from the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) to close the Miller/Anderson (County Road 63) intersection with Highway 17 once the four-laning is complete.
In a letter to the county, the MTO says as part of the approved plan, the current intersection of County Road 63 and Highway 17 will be closed and there will not be a bridge built over Highway 17 to maintain the connectivity of this road.
The portion of Miller Road will be realigned to run parallel to Highway 17, with an intersection at County Road 54 (McLean Drive).
This new service road will be built to county road standards and will be transferred from the province to the county upon completion of construction.
The MTO says plans also include extending Anderson Road to a cul-de-sac at the end of a newly constructed Daisy Lane.
