Arnprior Town Council has authorized a rent reduction on what it charges the operators of the canteen concession at the Nick Smith Centre.
Recreation Director Graeme Ivory says the initial lease for operator Rafka El-Hachache was $6480 per year, or $540 per month- but COVID prevented it from operating for the 2020-21 season.
The Recreation Director believes that with the resumption of limited activities at the NSC there should be a corresponding drop in the rental rate charged.
A by-law authorizing the drop in rent for the 2021-22 season at the NSC was approved by Council Monday (September 27th).
