Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning across the Ottawa Valley.
Heavy rain at times is expected tonight through Wednesday night.
Showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to begin later this evening and will continue through at least Wednesday night.
Environment Canada says rainfall amounts of 50 to 60 mm are expected by early Thursday morning with a few areas possibly reaching up to 75 mm.
This widespread rainfall event is due to a cold front and a moisture laden low pressure system that will arrive from the American Mid-west.
Rainfall warning in effect for:
- Barry’s Bay – Killaloe
- Petawawa – Pembroke – Cobden
- Renfrew – Arnprior – Calabogie
- Deep River – Whitney – Eastern Algonquin Park
