The Renfrew County and District Health Unit is reporting 11 new COVID-19 cases over the last seven days, all in local community members.
The detailed case summary released Thursday afternoon (September 16th, 2021), showed no new cases reported in long-term care or retirement home residents, no new cases in health care workers and no COVID-19 infections reported in local schools or daycares.
The COVID-19 incidence rate has gone up significantly, going from 3.7 cases per 100,000 residents to 10.1 in the last week.
There are currently seven people in self-isolation with nobody in Renfrew County and District in the hospital after testing positive for the virus.
There are 795 new cases of COVID-19 in Ontario today, including 582 cases are in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
There’s no indication from the health unit showing if the new cases reported in Renfrew County and District are in unvaccinated residents.
