The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is reporting a spike with eight new COVID-19 infections.
The information released this afternoon (September 13th, 2021), shows a total of 14 active cases in the region.
The eight new cases being reported today is twice as many as the RCDHU reported the previous week.
The detailed case summary put out September 9th, showed one local resident was in the hospital and four COVID-19 cases had been reported in the last 7-days.
There are 600 new cases of COVID-19 in Ontario today and four more deaths linked to the virus.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says 475 of those cases are in people who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
