Vehicles will be able to access the lower beach level at Robert Simpson Park again starting today (September 3rd).
The Town of Arnprior is reminding drivers that access to the lower level of the beach includes a steep hill with a blind corner and drivers are asked to be mindful of other vehicles and pedestrians.
Parking at the beach level provides two (2) accessible parking spots and four (4)
standard parking spots.
There are “No Parking/Tow Away Zone” signs along the base of the hill, along the hill and other parts of the roadway.
Parking fines in No Parking areas start at $30.00 and the fine for parking in an accessible parking spot without an Accessible Permit is $300.00.
Vehicles will be towed at the expense of the owner.
Free parking is available in the rear lot of the Arnprior and District Hospital will remain in place on weekends and holidays until Monday, September 6th.
The Public is reminded that the beach is only guarded by lifeguards from June through August.
Buoy lines will remain in place until mid-September.
Life-rings are located on the lifeguard chair and affixed to the No Swimming sign at the point where the rivers meet.
Staff remind beach goers to swim only in the designate area, never swim alone or at night, remain within arms reach of your children and wearing PFD is always encouraged.
The washrooms at Robert Simpson Park are open daily from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. until
October 11.
The Splash Pad will remain operational from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. while temperatures remain favourable.
