Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services for the Northeast Region of Ontario isn’t reporting any forest fires for our neck of the woods, but the hazard is still there. Officials are reporting that the area between Deux-Rivières and Pembroke, including the eastern half of Algonquin Park which is showing a high hazard. Standard rules say that fires are to be ignited no sooner than 2 hours before sunset and extinguished no later than 2 hours after sunrise.
