Arnprior Regional Health is having a special event in appreciation of the volunteers who helped make local vaccination clinics possible in the community.
More than 80 volunteers have donated nearly 9,000 volunteer hours at the local vaccination clinics, and the Arnprior Vaccine Team is hosting a special event to celebrate each person’s contribution in protecting the community against COVID-19.
It’s taking place tomorrow (Wednesday afternoon) at Robert Simpson Park from 1 to 2PM.
There’s a roster of special speakers who will pay tribute to the accomplishment:
Speaking will be Maggie Harbert, Vaccine Clinic Volunteer Coordinator and President of the Arnprior Regional Health Auxiliary; Jay Johnston, Chair, Arnprior and District Family Health Team Board of Directors;
Cathy Jordan, Chair, Arnprior Regional Health Board of Directors; Eric Hanna, President and CEO, Arnprior Regional Health; Andrew Keck, Manager, COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout, for the Renfrew County and District Health Unit, and Michael Nolan, Chief, County of Renfrew Paramedic Services will jostle for the allocated 45 minutes of remarks.
At 1:45PM, Certificates of appreciation will be presented to the volunteers.
