A Renfrew County resident up on murder charges is back in court this week.
On July 10th, 27-year-old Zachary Marquardt of Bonnechere Valley was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
The crown has withdrawn the first degree murder charges and Marquardt is now charged with second degree murder and failure to comply with probation.
Marquardt was arrested after police responded to a 911 call at a home on a road north of Kokomis Inamo on the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation.
The OPP found 67-year-old Ronald Graham of Eganville dead and paramedics transported another male to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Marquardt will return to court on Friday (August 20th, 2021) at 9:30am.
