Highway 17 is now open after police were on scene investigating a serious two-vehicle collision in Laurentian Hills.
The crash happened just after 10 pm yesterday (Aug. 12).
A preliminary investigation revealed that an eastbound car collided with a westbound tractor trailer.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, while the other driver was uninjured.
Firefighters tamed a blaze that broke out and extricated the driver of the car.
Highway 17 between Plant Road and Beladair Road was closed for several hours.
