A crash involving a Sunshine Coach assisted-transportation vehicle took place Tuesday near Ashdad, in Greater Madawaska Township.
CityNews advises two people sustained minor injuries after the driver reportedly swerved to avoid an animal on Pucker Street, and ditched the van in the process.
Renfrew County Paramedics took the driver to RVH, and the passenger, a man in a wheelchair, was evacuated by ORNG air ambulance from a Goshen Road location and flown to Ottawa for examination.
Both suffered only minor injuries.
