Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch across the Ottawa Valley.
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms this afternoon into this evening.
Environment Canada says these thunderstorms will be capable of producing strong wind gusts up to 90 km/h and locally heavy rainfall of 50 mm within one hour.
Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for:
- Barry’s Bay – Killaloe
- Petawawa – Pembroke – Cobden
- Renfrew – Arnprior – Calabogie
