We’ve pretty much had a break from heat warnings the past two or three weeks, but the Renfrew County and District Health Unit has some prudent advice as temperatures for the balance of this week are back in the high range.
The RCDHU reminds heat illnesses are preventable.
Your first defence is to remain hydrated by drinking plenty of cool liquids, especially water.
Spend a few hours in a cool place and take cool showers or baths as required.
You should avoid sun exposure, and plan your trips or outside activities to occur during the cooler parts of the day.
