It seems the new owners of the Antrim Truck Stop have made the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop their charity of choice.
Tom and Kim Orr have downsized the retail side of the business and donated its inventory to the Gift Shop in the process.
When the inventory was packed up on June 30th, the RVH Gift Shop was the first to respond in the affirmative, and lucked out as recipient of the goods which included clothing, jewelry and home décor.
The donation was a boon for the RVH Gist Shop as it has only been able to operate 70 days during the last year and had seen its fundraising efforts crimped by COVID.
A selection of the new merchandise from the Antrim Truck Stop began gracing Gift Shop shelves Monday (July 12th), with new additions each week as Auxiliary volunteers unpack the boxes.
Seasonal items for fall and Christmas will be stored for now.
Current RVH Gift Shop hours are 11AM to 3PM and shoppers need to enter and be screened at the hospital’s Ambulatory Care Clinic entrance.
