Now it may be easier to renew your Accessibility Permit than it is to find a space in the local Parking Lot!
At the end of June, the Ontario government launched a new online renewal tool for Accessible Parking Permits, as well as traveler’s permits, motorcycle decals- or changes of address.
Individuals and not-for-profits can visit Ontario.ca/RenewAPP.
By providing standard personal information and an existing permit number, permit holders will now have the option to renew from the comfort of their home.
(Previously, these services were only available in person at ServiceOntario or by mail).
There are over 700,000 Ontarians who have an Accessible Parking Permit.
All holders of permanent Accessible Parking Permits can use this new tool to renew online, including for permits that expired on or after March 2020 and continue to be valid.
For transactions that need to be completed in person, appointments can be booked in advance at more than 40 ServiceOntario centres by visiting Ontario.ca/Appointment.
