Quite a few local communities are benefitting from Municipal Modernization money announced Monday (July 5th) by Queen’s Park.
In the riding of Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke the cash adds up to $1,240,875.
Municipalities will use the funding to find efficiencies and implement a wide range of initiatives to digitize, streamline and/or integrate programs and services with neighbouring communities.
Recipients, and approved projects include: the Township of Admaston-Bromley’s Service Delivery Review; the Township of Bonnechere Valley’s Software Installation and Service Delivery Improvement project; the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards’ Public Work and Fire Radio Digital upgrade; the Township of Madawaska Valley’s Service Delivery Review; the City of Pembroke’s Public Works Information Technology and Service Modernization venture; the County of Renfrew’s Digital Service Delivery Modernization as well as its Digital Strategy Review; the Township of South Algonquin’s Financial and Records Management Digitization; the Township of Whitewater Region’s Service Delivery Review to Streamline Building Services; the Township of Greater Madawaska’s Digital Communications and Online Customer Portal- and joint ventures by the Townships of Greater Madawaska, Admaston-Bromley and Whitewater Region.
