Ontario is allowing municipalities the freedom to investigate operating photo-radar within their jurisdictions- and its something that sparked locally.
McNab-Braeside Mayor Tom Peckett says the idea of sharing a portable photo radar unit makes sense, as speeding is not confined to any single community.
Peckett says there was dialogue between municipalities who share the services of the same by-law enforcement team, but without success, so Council will receive a staff report on the cost of going it alone on photo radar acquisition.
