It looks like the riding has John Yakabuski all to ourselves again.
The PC member for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke, first elected to Queen’s Park in 2003, has been dropped from Cabinet in a shuffle announced this afternoon by Premier Doug Ford.
Yak had been Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry, but in today’s announcement, that job has gone to the MPP for Kenora-Rainy River, Greg Rickford, in what is now the merged portfolio of Northern Development, Mining, Natural Resources and Forestry.
Rickford will continue as Minister of Indigenous Affairs.
Yakabuski had briefly served as Minister of Transportation when the PCs assumed office following the last Provincial Election, before being replaced by Caroline Mulroney.
