The Killaloe OPP has identified the driver involved in fatal motorcycle collision.
Yesterday afternoon (June 15th, 2021), police responded to a single vehicle collision on Combermere Road near Chippawa Road in Madawaska Valley.
A portion of the road was closed for approximately five hours to facilitate police investigation into the cause of the collision.
Police investigation has revealed the driver of the motorcycle was travelling southbound on Combermere Road. The motorcycle left the roadway, and the driver was ejected from the motorcycle.
CPR was performed on the driver, however 72 year old Monte McGibbon of Lamable was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem has been scheduled and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
This is the second fatal collision investigated by the Killaloe OPP in 2021.
