The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) says 74,806 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered through one of several COVID-19 vaccination clinics in the region.
The RCDHU says as of Monday (June 14, 2021), a total of 67.1% of RCD residents (aged 12+) have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine (56.9% have received one dose; 10.3% have received two doses).
The health unit says even if you have been vaccinated, it is important to continue following public health measures, such as physical distancing, wearing a mask and hand hygiene.
In terms of vaccination rates, over 87% of all residents aged 60-years and up have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
All residents aged 12 and older are now eligible to book a first dose appointment for vaccination (must be 12 years of age as of the date of vaccination).
Those who are 12 to 17 years of age are only eligible for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, as this is currently the only COVID-19 vaccine that has been authorized by Health Canada for use in youth.
