Three straight days of a heat warning and the Renfrew County and District Health Unit has sent out a release on tips to beat the heat and stay healthy. RCDHU says extreme heat affects everyone but young children, pregnant women and low income individuals are the most vulnerable. Wear loose fit clothing, take a cold shower, seek shade, avoid the sun and drink plenty of water. Heat illness symptoms include dizziness, headaches, nausea and extreme thirst. If these happen, drink plenty of liquids and find a cool place unit you feel better.
