Gone are the days when each municipality had its own Police Services Board.
Under a new super-structure determined by the Province, there will be a larger Police Services Board serving the entire Renfrew OPP Detachment.
Arnprior Town Council was briefed on forthcoming changes at its municipal meeting May 25th, according to Mayor Walter Stack.
Stack says an overlap-area for detachment coverage will be sorted out internally between the Renfrew Detachment and the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP.
The proposal for the new eleven-member Police Services Board, was shared with, and supported by, Arnprior Council at its May 25th municipal meeting.
