A FedDev Ontario investment is supporting the Ontario’s Highlands’ tourism sector, to which we belong.
The $1 million in funding will support 70 tourism-oriented businesses and maintain 110 jobs in the RTO-11 Region.
The Ontario’s Highlands Tourism Organization (RTO-11) will use the investment to provide tourism-dependent businesses with up to $20,000 in non-repayable contributions to support adaptation and reopening costs, such as space renovations and retrofits, implementing new health and safety protocols, purchase of equipment, fixtures and personal protective equipment, and support for technology and digitization.
The fund is being distributed by the Ottawa Valley Tourist Association in Renfrew County, and through local economic development organizations in other portions of the RTO-11 Region.
