Ontario is shortening the interval between first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, starting with adults aged 80 and older next week.
The province has been doling out doses at four-month intervals.
It says that interval could be cut to as little as 28 days for the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines.
Ontario says the change is possible now because 65 per cent of all adults have at least one shot and there is a steady vaccine supply.
Meanwhile, Quebec is lifting the curfew that has been in place since early January and allowing restaurant patios to re-open, including in Montreal.
The new regulations will also allow outdoor gatherings of up to eight people on private property, and large venues will be able to host up to 25-hundred people, with some public health rules.
