The OPP has laid a number of charges against a driver from Ottawa after stopping a stolen vehicle on Highway 17 in Whitewater Region.
Police say around 1:00 am on Sunday, May 16th, officers stopped a stolen vehicle and brought the driver into custody.
Police charged Judge 40-year-old Maxwell Tillery of Ottawa with operation while impaired by drugs, obstruct police, failure or refusal to comply with demand, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, mischief under $5000, failure to comply with an undertaking, possession of credit card obtained by crime, use of credit card obtained by crime, speeding, drive motor vehicle – no licence,
The accused was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody until their next appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on May 21, 2021.
