Arnprior Fire Chief Jeff Crawford says his department’s thirteen new recruits had to start somewhere, and what better place than a dwelling slated for demolition at the corner of Edward and Edey Streets.
Crawford says the new recruits were able to check many of the boxes on their list of technical requirements in the process.
The Fire Chief thanks his alert Deputy Chief for procuring the opportunity.
Rick Desarmia saw a sign on the property and was able to contact the owner, who gave permission for the exercise which took place on Saturday, May 1st.
