A widespread internet outage impacting Cogeco customers in the Ottawa Valley is in the process of being resolved.
Cogeco says a burnt pole needs to be replaced.
Service has been impacted in Pembroke, Petawawa, Deep River, Chalk River and Renfrew.
Internet has returned for some customers and Cogeco expects work to be completed by 7:00pm or 8:00pm tonight.
Our techs. and construction crew arrived on site and confirmed that the damages on the fibre are due to a burnt pole. Repairs will take time since the pole will need to be replaced, but all our ON & QC crews are working to get the fibre reconnected as soon as possible.
