The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is reporting a sixth person has died from complications due to COVID-19.
The RCDHU is reporting another seven infections today with four people in the hospital including one in the intensive care unit.
With 11 cases reported on Sunday, that marks 18 new infections in the last 48-hours.
COVID-19 variant cases of concern continue to account for a large number of the new infections with 87 cases screening positive so far.
In the last 7-days there has been 35 new COVID-19 cases in Renfrew County and District and two deaths.
There are 38 active cases spread out across Renfrew County and District.
