The Renfrew County and District Health Unit is reporting a fifth person has died from complications due to COVID-19.
The detailed case summary released this afternoon shows 29 new cases have been reported in the last seven days including another eight infections today (April 22nd, 2021).
The RCDHU says 78 local cases have screened positive for COVID-19 variants of concern.
With 535 confirmed cases in Renfrew County and District, 498 considered resolved and now five deaths, that leaves 32 active cases.
Six residents in Renfrew County and District are currently in the hospital including two in the intensive care unit.
