It’ll be fun- but more importantly, it’ll be safe.
Stone Fence Theatre is taking its act outdoors for the new show How are Ya Now?
The venue is a beautiful hillside beside the Bonnechere River at the Bonnechere Caves, near Eganville.
The planned “box supper theatre” is a socially-distanced treat whipped up by Schmidt’s Catering in Pembroke.
While gathering limits are governed by the regulatory protocols in effect when the theatre season opens on July 14th, Stone Fence is currently aiming for 100 patrons at each performance.
Of course, “How are Ya Now” being part of Valley lexicon, the production is a musical all about Ottawa Valley community and culture and is a montage of classic songs from past Stone Fence Theatre shows and some timely new material.
Shows will start at 6 p.m. and end before dark – before the bugs come out.
Seating is by general admission.
Bring your own lawn chair.
A little rain will be tolerated, but if a deluge is in the forecast patrons will be notified by Noon the day of and a rain check will be given.
All ticket purchases include a Schmidt’s Catering of Pembroke box lunch, featuring smoked brisket on a bun.
Veggie and gluten-free options available and a licenced bar on site.
Tickets go on sale in late May and will cost $42 or $20 for youth, plus tax.
Stone Fence Theatre has many to thank including generous support from two Ontario government programs: the Tourism Relief and Investment Program (T.R.I.P.) and the Ontario Small Business Support program.
