The online publication blogTO is reporting on a Valley example of a home outselling its asking price- and it’s quite the example. A home at 4420 River Road in Renfrew sold for 1.1 million dollars over list. The publication cites it as proof that skyrocketing real estate prices aren’t just a Toronto phenomenon. Yes, the River Road property comes with some bourgeois amenities including an indoor spa pool and a full inground swimming pool outside, five bedrooms and four baths- plus a bunkie, garage and barn on 20 acres with 1,500 square feet of waterfront. It may have been a bargain at the $1.495 million asking price, but all nine offers, including bids from Toronto and Vancouver were involved in a bidding war that saw the property go to a local offer submitted by a neighbour just a few kilometres away.
