An Arnprior request that the County of Renfrew participate financially in re-aligning the traffic lights at the Galvin and Edey intersection with Daniel Street will again receive discussion at the County Operations Committee meeting next Tuesday (April 13th).
County councillor Dan Lynch reported on the issue at the Arnprior Municipal meeting of March 22nd.
Mayor Walter Stack, who observed the March Operations Committee meeting says Steckley’s argument was persuasive.
If Arnprior is successful, the Town and the County would split the cost of the traffic light at the realigned intersection- currently estimated at a 230 thousand dollar tab.
