Ontario Premier Doug Ford told reporters to ‘stay tuned’ Wednesday morning when asked about a record number of Ontarians in intensive care units because of COVID-19.
As of yesterday, there are currently 421 patients in ICU across the province, a record during the pandemic.
Ford will make the announcement at 1:30pm today, alongside Minister of Health Christine Elliott, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams, and Dr. Adalsteinn Brown, Co-Chair of the Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table. We’ll provide more details as they become available.
