A new plan to snag speeders cuts across county boundaries.
McNab-Braeside Mayor Tom Peckett says there’s an idea afloat to revive a 1990s concept in partnership with neighbouring Arnprior, and nearby Mississippi Mills.
The idea was first initiated by NDP Premier Bob Rae, then scrapped when the Mike Harris Tories took office- but is now allowed locally under Provincial legislation.
Peckett says with increasing complaints about the number of speeders, it’s time for the Township to get serious.
The Mayor has no helpful tips on where the apparatus might be set up.
