Work on Alicia Street reconstruction in Arnprior is going ahead this year.
The move was approved at the municipal meeting Monday (March 22nd).
Mayor Walter Stack says 2020’s plan to do the job over a two year time-frame was scuttled when all of the bids came back over budget.
The pandemic also had a hand in postponement.
Now, all the work will be done this year, and both the engineering supervisor and the construction contractor have been chosen.
Jp2g will be paid 114.5 thousand for oversight, and Primrose Construction from Stittsville will do the job for 2.103 million dollars.
