The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) says 11,572 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered.
So far the most doses administered to local residents in a week was 3,269. Second doses will be administered 16 weeks (roughly 4-months) after the first dose.
In Renfrew County and District, eligible people who can register and book an appointment include adults over 80, indigenous residents over 18, all healthcare workers (including long-term care and retirement home essential caregivers), seniors in congregate care settings and anyone receiving chronic home care.
Eligible people who can register, but are currently unable to book an appointment include adults between 75 and 79 years old and faith based leaders who provide end of life care or home visits to unwell people.
The RCDHU says vaccine appointment availability is based on the number of doses received each week.
