The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) has confirmed a positive laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 test in a student at Fellowes High School.
All students and staff who have been deemed a close contact of the positive case have been given directions to stay home, self-isolate and arrange for testing.
The school will remain open to in-person learning for all other students and staff.
The health unit is actively investigating the case.
All high-risk contacts will receive a standard text message on behalf of the RCDHU or a phone call from a long-distance number from the contact tracing staff at Public Health Ontario.
