Enterprise Renfrew County (ERC) runs the Summer Company Program on behalf of the Province of Ontario.
ERC is looking for applications from students ages 15 to 29 who want to create their own summer job.
Seven successful students will receive initial funding of up to $1,500 to help kick-start their business.
There will be virtual training involved, and mentorship from ERC.
Upon successful completion of program, and operation of their business until the end of August, student entrepreneurs will receive up to $1,500 as additional support.
By participating, students will acquire financial management, sales, inventory control, marketing, and customer service skills.
Over its history, Summer Company has provided guidance to 147 young entrepreneurs in Renfrew County.
