The Township of McNab-Braeside dealt with its roads construction and rehabilitation schedule for 2021 at the Council meeting held Tuesday (March 16th).
Mayor Tom Peckett says six streets in the Village of Braeside will see work under a 1.055 million dollar contract awarded to Cavanagh Construction.
Peckett says Toner Road needs a lot of work and Greenwood Paving was successful bidder.
Greenwood was the only contractor to estimate the work at under 200 thousand.
The Mayor is disappointed that certain recent reconstruction work hasn’t been holding up.
Peckett says the problem isn’t exclusive to McNab-Braeside- similar issues have been reported by County of Renfrew maintenance crews.
