When you head to your vaccination appointment at a public clinic in Renfrew County, you’ll have to bring along identification to prove you meet current eligibility criteria.
That means proof of age, Indigenous status, profession, employment, essential caregiver status, etcetera.
If you don’t meet the proper requirements, you won’t be vaccinated- but rather will be directed to rebook when your population group is announced.
Those eligible to attend the clinics and receive their first dose of vaccine are: those 80 years old and up, Indigenous residents age 55 and up, Retirement Home Health Care Workers and essential caregivers, Long-Term Care Health Care Workers and Essential Caregivers and all patient-facing Health Care Workers.
Once your population group is announced you remain eligible for the whole time vaccinations continue to be given out, so there’s no chance of missing your shot.
You can register online at rcdhu.com or phone 1-800-267-1097 extension 200.
If registering by phone, leave only ONE message.
Clinics depend on vaccines being received locally so be patient.
Once current priority populations are vaccinated those next in line become eligible, and that list will be made available through the media or by checking the RCDHU website.
