Guy Lamarche, host of the Facebook Page “Arnprior on the Streets” has received a copy of a notice issued by the Town indicating that his tiny home “bunkie” is not in compliance with municipal regulations.
Essentially it is an unfinished structure and its downtown parking lot location doesn’t allow for a residence to be located on site.
In response Lamarche spent the night on Elgin Street in front of Town Hall, and indicates in a post today that he has been advised to refrain from making comments on his situation and hold off on any activity thereto related- other than carrying on his normal day-to-day activities.
The Town advises the suggestion is not one it would make.
It’s hardly breaking news that an adjacent neighbour has expressed safety concerns relating to the Lamarche structure, while at the same time the bunkie garners much support on social media in the community.
