Winter in the Valley is proving to be a time for varied learning experiences. Madawaska area students are making the best of the season by snowshoeing, constructing snow forts and building mazes. The principal of George Vanier Catholic School in Combermere, says students are drawing in the snow, counting snowballs and blue jays, and spotting trees where a squirrel has made its home. Students at St. John Bosco Catholic School in Barry’s Bay, are also engaging in outdoor activities including cross country skiing for phys-ed.
