Police are reminding snowmobilers to obey the speed and trail signs and to always ride within your own ability.
This messages comes after the Killaloe OPP responded to a collision on Saturday (February 13th, 2021), on the E109 trail in Madawaska Valley.
Police say a 50-year-old lone operator from Ashton, lost control and struck a tree. The operator was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries and no charges were laid.
The OPP also says to reduce speeds when driving at night and watch for fences, guide wires, trees, and other objects at may be difficult to spot.
