Jason Stewart of Pembroke turned 50 this week and had a large outpouring of support from the community and all across the world.

His mother Janet tells myFM he has received 1,470 cards to date, not including large envelopes and packages. She says birthday cards have come from all across Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, the United States and most are from people they don’t know.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in person gatherings are not permitted, so a large drive-by celebration took place on Wednesday (February 3rd, 2021), with roughly 50 cars driving by for Jason’s 50th birthday.

The two live videos on the myFM Facebook page of the birthday drive-by have been viewed over 15,000 times. Jason’s mom says family and other friends who weren’t able to attend in person enjoyed the footage.
